Growing up in Brisbane, Jo Burton studied medicine at the University of Queensland and graduated in 2006. In 2005 Dr Doogan completed a Bachelor of Medical Science/ Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of NSW in Sydney. Upon completion of this combined degree she worked as a resident medical officer at the Prince of Wales Hospital and Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick. In these years she gained a broad range of experience in both adult and paediatric critical care medicine.

Dr Lekich is a Queensland medical graduate with a 15-year microsurgical background working in the field of ophthalmology and retinal microsurgery, hence his love of microscopes.
